The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for leading and managing all front-of-house (FOH) operations across Fargo Country Club, ensuring exceptional service and member satisfaction in the main restaurant, pool area, and on-course shacks. This role oversees FOH hiring, staffing, training, scheduling, and service execution while upholding the club’s high standards of hospitality and operational excellence. The Food & Beverage Manager works closely with the Executive Chef, Events team, and management to deliver seamless service experiences for members, guests, and event clientele.
Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day FOH operations in the restaurant, poolside dining, Barn event space, and course shacks.
Ensure smooth and consistent service delivery, maintaining high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and presentation.
Coordinate with BOH leadership to ensure smooth communication between FOH and kitchen teams.
Monitor club amenities to ensure spaces are well-maintained, organized, and guest-ready.
Oversee dining room setup, service standards, and event execution.
Staff Leadership
Recruit, hire, train, and mentor FOH team members, including servers, bartenders, hosts, and shack attendants.
Create staffing schedules to optimize labor costs and service quality.
Foster a positive and professional work culture with a focus on teamwork, accountability, and growth.
Conduct regular staff meetings and service training to ensure consistent member experiences.
Member Experience & Service Standards
Build relationships with members to ensure personalized and attentive service.
Handle service issues promptly and professionally, turning challenges into positive experiences.
Implement and maintain Fargo Country Club’s service standards, creating a welcoming and elevated environment.
Financial Management
Work with management to develop and achieve financial goals, including labor cost management and beverage sales.
Monitor inventory, assist with purchasing, and ensure cost-effective ordering practices.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and tracking key performance metrics for FOH operations.
Event & Banquet Support
Collaborate with the Events team to execute private events, tournaments, and club functions seamlessly.
Supervise FOH service during large-scale events, ensuring excellent execution.
Compliance & Safety
Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and liquor service regulations.
Ensure all FOH team members adhere to Fargo Country Club policies, dress code, and safety protocols.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hospitality or club food & beverage management.
Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on, member-focused approach.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and basic financial reporting.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, seasonal environment with high member expectations.
Certification in alcohol service and food safety preferred.
Ability to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
